Anyone have the actual article this was sourced from? TC linked to Softpedia who cited Edge. The article/interview does not appear on Edge's site.

The only other outlet coming up in a Google search for this news is SegmentNext.

http://segmentnext.com/2014/08/22/after-diablo-phil-spencer-is-pushing-bungie-to-attain-1080p-resolution-for-destiny-on-xbox-one/

They cite MCV and list a print issue. MCV does not have this on their website (kind of big news to limit to print...). Does anyone have this issue?

Why does Phil Spencer get any say in what a third party studio does with their game?

It's completely up to them what resolution it's set to, not him

Big Phil gets what Big Phil wants. Apparently you dont know him.

Apparently, you have no concept of reality

It's amazing to me how Microsoft put them in this position in the first place. If they designed a marginally better GPU they could just focus on games and not having to confirm 'resolution' for every game that comes out.

Who were the engineers on this thing? "Hey we can't run games from last year on 1080p, should be good for 8 years!"

It's mind boggling

What's stopping devs from allowing the option of choosing your resolution then the fps would adjust accordingly?

Friendly advice taken.

So now resolution matters to Microsoft after all? And you don't see Sony having to go to devs to ensure the PS4 runs games this or that way, because it's like a nice canvass devs can get what they want with.

Edge Magazine seems to be affiliated with Gamepur, judging by the wording:

In a recent interview to our Edge Magazine (published in Issue 801), Bungie's Director Of Production Jony Barnes said:

Seems like he is convinced a big part of the reason the PS4 is outselling the Xbox is because of the power difference. Interesting how he came to that conclusion

good to see you automatically take anything posted on the internet as fact, well, negative things about MS at least.

You are so gullible.
