Self explanatory.

I've been thinking of doing this for some reason. I have a nice 40" Samsung 1080p atm but I'v ealways heard monitors are great for gaming.

Seriously.

Your money is better spent on an HDTV before it is on a game console.

Hook up a current gen console to a SDTV is like putting rims on a $500 car.

An old 720p lcd. If I feel like seeing pretty graphics I hook it up to my 25inch 1080p IPS display.
