I guess i imagine it would be like switching from 60 to 30 on the Last of Us. By themselves,I couldn't really tell the difference between 60 and 30, but switching between them in the game, you notice the huge difference.

consoles may never reach that point. No matter what the soonest point a console will get there is 5 or more years away. Probably way more

at least yes, considering how late consoles are, hardware wise...one can hope.

Recently started AC4 on PC, where it's 30fps locked if you use v-sync. Using D3D makes the game runs at locked 60 fps (v-synced) and let me tell you, the difference is huge between a character who stutters like crazy when moving around, and the smooth animations of 60fps greatness...
30 fps should be a thing of the past. New gen consoles? Yea...right...
