Xbox One superior lighting and performance doesn't bode well for PS4's future

Last sentence? How about the topic title itself? And did Sony trolls seriously take the bait? Pretty sad

Updated screenshot that shows the same time of day. On PS4 the sun looks like the moon. It doesn't even shine. Did PS4 trade in "shine" for "resolution"? This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the corners that must be cut to get PS4 games on par with PC. If PS4 is struggling with lighting already, how will it keep up with the future proof Xbox One?

I need to keep this bumped to inform those who may not be aware of these serious issues with the PS4. I'll keep everyone updated as they wait patiently, refreshing gamefaqs throughout the evening and night hoping to learn more. I know this is a scary time for Sony fans, but there is still hope. A patch could possibly fix the issues. EA is currently trying to convince Sony that releasing a patch is in the best interest of their fans.

Unfortunately for Xbox One fans, Diablo 3 will not be patched for it's shortcomings. Those issues are strictly the fault of the Xbox One and cannot possibly be patched. With jarring drops from 60fps to 54fps which may or may not occur during your playthrough, coupled with a measly 5 million consoles sold in a span of 9 long months, the Xbox One is likely die a quick and painful death in the next week or two. It's a terrible time to be a gamer.

So it looks like these guys at shinemark.net did a benchmark test on the lighting engine that runs under the hood of the Madden game engine. The results show an astounding 50% performance advantage on the Xbox One over the PS4. Apparently e-SRAM is really good at computing shadow-vectors and pixelplasmas. I'm glad I'll know I picked the right console whenever I'm carrying a torch or flashlight at sunset.

*applauds* Couldnt have said it better myself. PS4 and Xbox One are both digging thenselves giant ditches and burying themselves alive in them. Then they take a gun and shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly then their heads when they have one bullet left.

What's going to be even better is when PS4 "exclusive" Destiny looks better on the XOne in less than two weeks.

Own an Xbox One. This means nothing.
