Well there goes my desire for an LED HDTV, now I must have...

A Curved LED Ultra-HDTV. :D

I was just in Best Buy for the first time in a month (looking for the Hyrule Warriors demo that sadly wasn't available) this afternoon and walked on over to check out the TVs after browsing their Xbox One section. When I approached the TVs, I was pleasantly surprised to see three different sized Curved Ultra HDTVs on display in a fancy Samsung display section of their TV section for the first time. Let's just say that I instantly fell in love. I love how you can view the TV at any angle and still get the same image without any distortion.

I know that the games on the Xbox One don't really support it, but it would still be a great TV to have for movies and TV. Just imagine watching an NFL game on a 65" Curved Ultra-HDTV? My God...that would be awesome. Anyways, they aren't too bad in price. They had that same Samsung 65" Curved Ultra HD-TV 120 HZ for $3500 dollars. I thought they would be more expensive.

So yeah, I think I am going to wait a little longer in my TV purchase to replace my 2008 Samsung HDTV.

What are people's thoughts on these Curved Ultra HDTVs, more specifically for the Xbox One? Halo: MCC is going to look awesome on this TV. :)

I like it too a lot.

But most people think it's a fad like 3D. Like it's gonna die soon

In 4 or 5 years they will be the norm. My TV may have a little accident around that time.

LOL! Yeah, I think I am just going to go ahead and "accidentally" topple my 8 year old HDTV off its table. "Oooops....did I do that?" *looks around innocently" XD

I'm going with a 70" next time. I have a 51" plasma with a great picture but a 70" will take it to the theater type feeling I'm looking for. Especially with a curved screen. Game consoles are going to have to target 4k next generation and it will be a beautiful thing.

You can view my 4 year old plasma at any angle as well. I don't get it.

So this Curved Ultra HDTV seems to be getting really good reviews from this site and Best Buy's user reviews:

It is also a nice size and seems very appropriate for gaming. Yeah, this is the Curved Ultra HDTV I am going to set my eyes on in buying. It even upscales 480i to 480p. Very nice! :)

It's a gimmick.

Screens are curved in theaters to prevent image distortion from the projectors.

You don't need that in your home TV unless you really really want to recreate the feeling of sitting in the front row of a theater.
