No one's experienced bad controls if they haven't played metal gear solid on the ps2. Even in the menus, the controls were bad. X was to go back when that isn't the case in 99% of other games.

It is in japanese games... many japanese games retain the O as conformation and triangle for menu etc. control scheme till this very day

Odd that no one had a problem with A being confirm on SNES though.

I only mention the SNES since Sony lifted the layout for the PS1 controller.
