Monster Hunter went to Nintendo.

Actually that game is still 3rd party and capcom still owns the IP.
I'm going the japanese are going to love titanfall hence the xbox one bundled with it is on their top 10 purchases on amazon.

I'm not looking forward to getting my *** handed to me by some overly skilled japanese kid on killer instinct...

But ms could do something with the titles they actually own.
-lost odyssey
-blue dragon
-last remnant
-Ninety nine nights and operation darkness are my 2 favorites
...I forget all the jrpgs they own though. Is magna carta one of them? Not published, own.

Never said the IP, what I meant is that the games went to nintendo

I only pointed that out because I thought nintendo recently bought the franchise. I thought you maybe read that too.

I'm pretty sure SE still owns The Last Remnant IP.

Again MS should focus on exclusives and not on timed-exclusives.

Exclusive JRPGs would really help plus some popular anime titles (Fairy Tail e.g.)

In Japan? Something I would have 0 interest in im sure. Some generic JRPG, some kind of goofy anime collect-a-thon game, a boring life sim...

Timed exclusives are very smart. The reason for this is usually after 2 months, the sales of any new game have been tapped out.

If you are running a business and can get Tomb Raider for lets just say, 25 million, for 6-12 months which would exhaust all possible sales of the game, or spend like 500 million to buy out all the rights to TR for life, that is not a wise investment.

When next gen rolls around, MS can do this again and buy up timed rights for a relatively small amount of money, which is probably too much for Sony who are in epic debt, while MS is worth 375 billion. They can buy up timed rights to games all day. Spending a massive fortune on the IP isnt always the smartest idea. They could have bought up the TR name period, but its a very risky investment that may never pay off.

Titanfall apparently had a pretty positive reaction from the Japanese.

They really do like their mechs...and the Attack on Titan vibe it gives off.

...What Attack on Titan vibe?
