All you have to do is look at how the 360 did in Japan.

Which did worse than the first Xbox there, if you can believe it.

That I didn't know. I do however enjoy the original XB more then the 360, hence why I still own one but got rid of my 360 for the XB1.

and PS4 still has no good exclusives
Not to mention Japanese developed good exclusives

So isolationist.
Oh well, loving the X1 and can't wait for Destiny next week, Forza a few weeks after that and Sunset OD a few weeks after that

This holiday season is gonna be amazing for X1 users.

Never heard of iDOLM@STER.

Exclusive to Playstation now. A shame since it's probably one of the biggest reason why the Xbox even moved as many units as it did while it was an exclusive (until iM@S 2 got the superior version on PS3 and One 4 All was released exclusively on PS3)

See that crowd? They have no reason to buy an Xbox now.

Looks like console gaming truly is dead if even Japan isn't buying game consoles. It looks the Xbox One will be my last gaming console ever since game consoles won't be around much longer after the 8th generation. I truly cannot believe that this day has come. It is probably for the better for me though as I can move on with my life with more important and meaningful things like getting married, traveling, buying a house and all of that other "grown up" crap. :(

The event is well covered apparently.

the interesting thing about all this is not so much what is being reported, because it was fully expected, but maybe it is just that those buying it were doing so online instead. I mean, a couple months ago we heard reports that xb1 was topping online pre-order charts, which was pretty weird, mainly because we didnt expect to see "xbox" and "topping" in the same sentence without the word "not" in there somewhere.

so with that in mind, I went and had a look at this:

http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/bestsellers/videogames

now i'm not saying this is that indicative of anything (it doesnt have actual sales figures for example), but again,i find this interesting when compared to what we are seeing at the stores

now, i dont particularly care about sales figures as long as things are going well. which they are. but it doesnt mean i cant find some aspects of it interesting, which this is

Yeah that really doesn't mean anything, to get a better perspective look at the top sellers of 2014 rather than the last hour.
In which case we notice that Titanfall's 360 version which sold around 20K units in Japan is at No. 94, while XB1 is not in the top 100. Which means if Amazon sales for tianfall and XB1 have the same ratio for the rest of retailers XB1 might very well sell 10-15K units at launch, which will be quite abysmal compared to PS4's 320K.
