Worth trying if I haven't (properly) seen the series?

I watched the first series as it aired, then didn't even bother to watch the second. Because I watched S1 so long ago, I can't really remember it all too well. I've heard great things about this game and I'm currently downloading the free first episode. Is it worth playing the game if I haven't properly watched the series? Do I need to have watched it in order to fully enjoy the game?

The game can be played pretty stand alone. The first episode has some references to the comics/show but after that its pretty much its own thing.

I wasn't even aware that there was a TV series and whatnot when I played the game. Are they even similiar?

no I don't give a damn about the show, but the game was amazing. You're not missing anything, has nothing to do with the show anyways, this is based on the comic

it's in the comic universe. has absolutely nothing to do with the show at all.

Thinking is the hardest kind of work, which is probably why so few engage in it.

Can't complain it's a $10 game right now due to the sale.

I bought the first episode on a whim, having barely even heard of the show. One of the best decisions I ever made tbh.

Yeah...haven't seen the comic OR show, and am digging the game thus far. About halfway through episode 1. Definitely gonna check the show out on Netflix just for the hell of it, though.

Forgot to mention I picked it up during the daily sale as well...definitely a great decision.
