Don't. Seriously, just play your first game blind and don't read or look up what happens because it'll ruin the experience for you. Don't rewind or anything just make a choice and stick to it.

Agreed. This isn't a typical game where you want to try and "get 100%" by seeing and doing everything. You play this game with the idea of what YOU would do if it was real life. If you made a decision in real life, you have to live with the consequences, good or bad.

Opinions can be changed. Beliefs however, not so much.

Gotta love the walking dead for that.

*story mechanics spoilers*

I hate how in some games ill start out saying what I would say in the situation and later realize that there's a influence system and then have to pander to everyone to get the best results. That's one positive about the "illusion" of choice. It lets you be the survivor you would be without scolding you by saying " because you chose these decisions everyone does and you get the worst ending, I only you had done the extremely specific choices we wanted to, you could have saved everyone and had sexy time with the hot chick"

I mean, sure it's fun sometimes but in the desperate, morally ambiguous survival horror genre it seems a little wrong to say " nope you sacrificed that guy, you're a horrible person, now you get bad ending!"

Exactly why I like this over some other games where you influence the character through choices. You can be a complete dick to Kenny and to some people that story of mutual hatred between you too is better story-wise than a good relationship with everyone. It's unrealistic to go through a game where you can influence people's opinion about you and still be BFF with everyone.

Play with the choices that you would normally make. This games big thing is knowing you're influencing the story and not just watching it happen. There is no real combat gameplay so you better go in with the story being the main reason you're here.
This game is 95% all the talky parts from Mass Effect pretty much.

I'm actually having trouble playing it again mostly cause I can't just be a ass when I normally wouldn't.
