claymore has the exact same moveset, but the 2H R1s are sweeping, rather than the curved sword slashes. --- "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein FC: 0404-5961-8354
Claymore. The Thorned Greatsword might work, if you can acclimatise yourself to the interesting R2s. --- Ricard's, not Richard's. Ascetic, not Aesthetic. Mastodon, not Mastadon. Copse, not Corpse. Drangleic, not Drangelic. Hollow, not Hallow. Flexile, not Flexible.
This is outside the moveset, but Heide Lance/Greatlance, and Heide Spear all do very good damage when infused with lightning and buffed with sunlight blade. Also great club/largeclub/murakumo if you like the traditional weapons. --- "Those who do not move do not feel their chains" - Rosa Luxembourg PSN: productofboredum - feel free to add me :)
Atthe cost of 10 durability, it can buff itself. 60 seconds compared to SLB's 90, but at least you save a slot? --- Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Frostwolf&cn=Verranicus
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Thorned Greatsword can be buffed. It has a different strong attack, as its a special one that shoots lightning, but it's pretty much just as good as the Defender's gs. Nothing else really compares to those two for a STR/FTH build. --- http://tinyurl.com/c5ambvk - http://tinyurl.com/nrluepw - http://tinyurl.com/okfh7ba
Thorned Greatsword can't compare to the Throne Guardian's in terms of raw damage output. Yes this is true even when Thorned is buffed with SLB, this is because Throne Guardian's has a built-in SLB, when both are taken as it is, Guardian has far higher lightning scaling/base (S scaling vs C scaling).
The only reason for running Thorned is if you like the R2s and/or you like how cool it looks. The R2 can be powerful if you hit with both the bolt and the physical swing/thrust, but the projectile by itself is pretty weak.
I hope from would at least give Thorned a slight buff (maybe Faith Scaling B).
