Yes because it ruins the game and provides no benefit to anything. Patch it by making it not exist.

I like it in concept, but that's about it. It basically only benefits people at really high levels so they can keep interacting. Everyone else suffers and it doesn't even protect newbies from chickenhawks since the megamule is already a thing.

Yes. Without a doubt, yes. Combat-wise, this is the best of the Souls series as far as PvP goes. But soul memory makes it the worst, not only for the Souls series, but one of the worst PvP games I have ever played in my entire life.

I would like it to search within memory and level range FIRST, then if it can't find anyone it can use just level range, then if THAT fails it can use soul memory to get a match.

I like lower level PvP, so it would be nice to have a level limited arena at least.

Yes. Remove it completely below SL 200. Above 200 use SL as primary matchmaking and SM as secondary.

Or something like that. As long as it goes away below 200 im pleased (or 100 tbh, but you have to think about others online as well).

This is exactly the way it should've been programmed. However, that last matchup option (SM only) should be a toggle in the options.
