I only liked the fire, grass and water look terrible.

I love all of them, which is a first.
Froakie is my favorite right now, but I want to see they're evos before I decide. --- 3DS: 0146-8850-9059 Steam: Tzuba

Gen IV starters were bad?
They are often considered to have had the worst design.
IV is easily one of the most popular.
Gen V is probably the most consistently disregarded in terms of starters. --- Splash

None of them are anything special, IMO. Nothing about their looks really scream "innovative" or "original". Chespin looks like a small Dewott, Froakie looks like what Palpitoad would evolve into if it was the first stage, and Fennekin looks like a Vulpix/Lillipup mix. I don't think any of them look bad by any means. I like them all, actually. I guess if I had to choose the most original one, it would be Froakie. I'm still going to pick Fennekin as my starter, though.

I don't like Chespin, but I think the other two look fine.
Agreed. I feel like Chespin could use more green in its design. --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMnhk26J1bM (Proof that Superman and Sephiroth are one and the same.)

Definitely not better than Gen 4, but I still like 'em. The fox took a couple of looks to get used to though. Those ears...
