To be fair, when the Deer stands up straight, he also forms a Y. His body is viewed from straight ahead with the antlers forming the top of the Y.
If you didn't notice the Deer's eyes, and figure out it's legs form the X, ...and ignore the bird being a huge flying Y, it's an easy assumption to make.

Yep, but in the case someone didn't notice the eyes, and both form a Y in the trailer, then it's easy to understand where the confusion comes from.
