For example, directly controlling the 3D Pokemon in battle, i.e. movement affecting ones ability to dodge/hit with attacks, certain Pokemon being useless in certain terrains (Dugtrio being useless in the ocean, etc) some Pokemon making their own decisions/movements/attack choices based on user Level/Badges (Charizard flying into a tree to take a nap)....

Every game starts out fine, but really...after say, Gym four...who is pumped for a random battle? Who isn't highly frustrated by encountering a trainer, with a full roster of six Pokemon? Who just wants each one to end as quickly as possible, and become a Super Repel whore in the process?
