a proper Bug/Water type.

We need a Waterbear. Those things are amazing. I'm think 255 base HP.

They can still do some neat dual types for bug.

Bug/Dark, Bug/Ice, or a proper Bug/Water type.

Surskit is Bug/Water. Too bad they had to ruin it by making Masquerain Bug/Flying.

Gotta catch em ALL? Good luck with that these days, kids!

Pretty sure that's why "a proper" was added to the beginning of that.

5th gen probably used up all their good bug type ideas so now its time for them to move to a different type

Ice would be a nice start. Gen V gave Ice the crappiest treatment of all of the types by far. What were they on?

I agree with Drapion and Gliscor. Kingler should remain Water type. It's a Crab, not a bug. For Crawdaunt, see Kingler. Kabutops does look somewhat bug-type, but I like to believe that its bug typing was replaced with rock when it fossilized.

Well, there's a bigger group bugs fall into in real life: the arthropods. Some animals, like spiders, crabs, centipedes, and scorpions are arthropods, but not bugs. And seeing that all spider and centipede Pokémon are bug-type, and you too think that the scorpions should be bug, too, I don't see why crabs wouldn't be. Also, the newest crab Pokémon, Crustle, is a Bug-Type.

Ice will only become decent after they change the type chart. It and poison got the low end of the stick pretty hard

I'd personally love to see a "rival" for Volcarona. A physical Bug/Water that represents the moon and its control over the tides.

OP should change his name to Bug Catcher or Bug Catcher with his real first name.

I'd like to see a mosquito larva with a split evolution. Males would become special oriented with special-based draining moves (not sure about type). Females would become a physical Bug/Dark with biting moves and an ability that allows biting moves to drain health.
