Speculation from the announcement trailer suggests possibly a

Grass/Dark starter
Fire/Psychic starter
Water/Fighting starter

Finally, a possibility at a truly balance starter set!

I haven't been this excited since Pokemon Red

Definately going with Chespin for now.. but I'll wait till we know about the evolutions for sure :D

He has spectacles and a fringe that's potentially destined for beard-dom. I'm hoping he looks more wizard-like as he evolves... whatever that means for his type.

True, it's not.

I think the only other balanced triangle that works as well as Grass/Fire/Water is Rock/Flying/Fighting.
