chestpin(grass/rock) fennekin(fire/ground) froakie(water/ice)

honestly i dont care what they're type will be, because i know what ever they will become, i think they will still be pretty badass

but these type just crossed my mind
chespin would fit grass/rock to me because chestnuts are hard like rocks
and it must have tough teeth to break rocks and i guess the pin in its name hints toward it having needles like a porqupine, so strong teeth to break rocks and rock like needles

fennekin could be like fire/ground because the animal its based off of the (fennec fox) lives in the desert and can hear prey undergroud, as well as lives underground
but i really hope its a pyschic type tho

froakie........ well thats obvious how it could water/ice type

im not saying they will be this type, but i wouldnt mind if they were
if they did become these type, it would add more weakness to each other, cuz ice beats ground and ground beats rock, then rock beats ice

chespin(grass/rock)
weakness x2

fennekin(fire/ground)
weakness x2
ground

weakness x4
ice

froakie(water/ice)
weakness x2
electric, grass, fighting, rock

fix'd. Really?

I think that this alone would be extremely unfair to Fennekin.

Fennekin with a Ground / Fire typing wouldn't be awful competitively. Flamethrower covers Grass and Bug, which are hit NVE by EQ and Ground would mitigate Fire's SR weakness. Likewise, Fire mitigates Ground's weakness to Ice and Grass.

Yeah, you'll be doubly weak to Water, but you also get a handy Electric resistance and two very good STABs.

Competively Fire/Ground doesn't matter so much, but looking at the ingame situation, beginner players aren't going to choose Fennekin if they know that the rival's Froakie will easily x4 them.

People actually get intimidated by their rival?

Rock/Grass is so crap defensively, I hope there's no pokemon unfortunate enough to get this typing, unless it has amazing stats+ability+movepool

Why would they use a fire type against a water type? By the time the rival's starter can use a water type move you can have more pokemon.

cradily has decent defensive stats, its max DEF is 322 and its max SP. Def is 344
which is almost close to ferrothorn's max DEF of 394 and max SP. DEF of 364
