They were a great feature in Ruby & Sapphire. In fact, bring back a lot of stuff from Ruby & Sapphire. The record-mixing thing was great in general.

I would laugh so much if they brought back Secret Bases but didn't allow us to battle other people in them.

This! Or at least some version of them. It was too late for me to realize the potential ease of EV training in Gen III with mixed records + secret bases...
