Because people just hack for perfect IVs anyways, making the whole system mean nothing.

It takes an infuriatingly long time to get good IV's, even when you have good parents and all the items

Because it throw out the competitive aspect of Pokemon for some out of the window. Too time consuming to get a good powerful team.
