Laziest pokemon design? Voltorb, hands down. He's the epitomy of a filler pokemon.

Worst? Jynx. It 90's black stereotype racism at it's worst and it was completely out of place. Same with Mr. Mime but Mr. Mime is a pimp so I'll give him a pass

Think I gotta put up a defense here.

Voltorb and Electrode are more clever than they originally appear.

They're a tribute to the Mimic from old school RPG's.

The Mimic is usually a treasure chest and looks identical to all other treasure chests until you try to open it and then it attacks you. It usually has a tongue and teeth or something.

What are treasure chests in Pokemon? Pokeballs. When you pick up an item it's represented by the shape of a Pokeball.

They even use Voltorbs and Electrodes in some of the games for this exact purpose.

Pretty sure Jynx was based on the Ganguro fad that was HUGE in 90s Japan.

Bleach blonde hair, pastel lip gloss, extremely darkened skin. That's the definition of Ganguro.

Still an atrocious design that still doesn't fit with any of the existing pokemon. Plus I feel if Nintendo's initial design was purely based of Ganguro they wouldn't have buckled and changed her design without putting up any fight. Honestly though, only the designers know whether it's based on blackface or Ganguro or pure stereotypes.
