how are grass types super effective against water types?

#1Evil_Evil_Evil_Posted 1/13/2013 11:50:05 AM
it should be water is not effective to grass but grass is neutral to water (kind of like normal and fighting).

Because plants absorb water to grow.

So think of it as the plant attacks sucking the life out of the water Pokemon.

pokemon are living beings. all living beings have water in them. grass should be super effective against everything then.

In that case you are bringing microbiology into the discussion and all types should be weak to almost all types.

If your going to think that way then you are over-analyzing it. It's a video game.

That's the primary reason. It's the reason why retention ponds or drainage ditches are frequently lined with grass or other vegetation, to absorb the water.

Also, think of it as excess plant life introduced into an aquatic environment. Roots that choke up waterways, algae blooms that can make ponds and lakes into stagnant, lifeless pools.

As for the "every living thing has water" arguement, do remember that this is pokemon, which has more than a few living boulders, armor-plated insects, and things made of fire. Not only is it a silly argument, but an incorrect one.

Strong "Fighting-type" people are known for breaking large, heavy things like blocks of stone, steel, and ice.
