Replaying Pokemon Red

I love how that house in Cerulean got robbed and the Team Rocket member is just standing out behind it and the police officer can't find them.

Anyway, team is Wartortle, Spearow, Paras and Kadabra!

Nostalgia makes these so fun to play, no matter how many times I've done it...

I love how the St. Anne is supposed to go out to sea despite being blocked off by land on all sides according to the map. (unless the bike road is higher than we think.)

The thing I disliked was the level up lists, and the lack of ways to change them. THe early game pokemon could get a good amount of moves through their life, whilst later game pokemon started off with something, but then did not get much until a level you could find them in the wild. Thus getting a Ponyta, Seel etc early in the game via trade didn't really count for much

These days I assume that it was intended to be a suspended bridge of some kind, but due to graphical limitations, they couldn't portray it that way back then.

Looking at the HG/SS version, there appears to be suspension supports of some kind. Which seems to fit my theory of the original intent.

I really hope we see these games released on the virtual console at some point. I'd love to go back, but don't feel like digging out an old Gameboy.

Are you playing on the original cartridge? Pulled out my blue version and it still has a save file. I must be extremely lucky, wondering if others have been lucky as well.

I hope so too. I don't have the old gameboy anymore so I would love a virtual download.
