Has there ever been a better Pokemon episode than 'Pikachu's Goodbye'?

Haven't watched the show in a decade. Surely that was the pinnacle?

Haven't watched the anime IN A DECADE? My god, you've missed out. Also, Pikachu's Goodbye is nowhere near the best of anything, because it makes me cry. Therefore I don't like it. Therefore it's bad. </lolopinions>

But seriously, Charizard vs. X (being a variable) episodes are great. Its battles vs Blaine's Magmar, Gary's Blastoise, Harrison's Blaziken and Noland's Articuno are high-octane.

In terms of more recent episodes, Evolution by Fire is a real tear-jerker. I cried like three times over the course of that episode because of those Shamus (Tepig's original jerk of a Trainer) flashbacks. Ironic contrast to my first few sentences, I know, but it was great to see that the anime still has soul.
