EDIT: You've also got Chespin at 592 and Froakie at 554 which are both significantly higher than Swampert at 535 who is our strongest starter to date. Power creep all up in this house.

Because it results in Pokemon getting stronger and stronger each gen, new mons completely outclassing the old mons and stagnation in the variety of viable Pokemon. AKA Power creep.

Because it results in Pokemon getting stronger and stronger each gen, new mons completely outclassing the old mons and stagnation in the variety of viable Pokemon. AKA Power creep.
