And also, picking Beldum as your starter would suck. The only move you have is one that gradually kills you as you use it. --- http://meta289.deviantart.com/#/d4j1eby The Pokemon Cycle. Don't deny its existence.
while I would condense the amount of choices and change a few Pokemon around. This could be a solid idea. --- I wish Blastoise was my dad. He wouldn't beat my mom like what her boyfriend, Johnny does. If Blastoise was my dad things would be different around here.

I disagree with some of your specific Pokemon choices, but I think the general idea is fine. For example, instead of Geodude, I'd go with a pure-rock like Roggenrola. Instead of Litwick, I'd go with a pure-ghost like Duskull. There aren't really any good Bug Pokemon for this. I also think it's completely unnecessary to add additional Grass, Fire, or Water starters considering there are already 6 of those each anyway. --- My NIDOKING brings all the boys to the yard: http://goo.gl/ExAoe
Meta, because they are pure-type starters all the way through, as opposed to, say, Torchic, which gains dual-typing later on. My thought is that it is easier for a beginner to have a pure starter. --- Playing: DA:O, Sonic the Hedgehog, The Old Republic Reading: Hearts in Atlantis
No More Fire/Water/Grass, and Ghost/Rock/Steel should not be starter Types due to their Resistance/Immunity to Normal, No Normal because of their... Normalcy, and No Dragon because it's supposed to be "Rare"
Choosing Dark or Ground would both give you Sandile, and Choosing Bug or Poison would both give you Venipede. --- They made a moon base to survey my standards but they have yet to make visual contact. PSN/NNID/Steam: Soanevalcke6 // http://www.backloggery.com/soanevalcke6
