And with a different route to boot. So like the first gym would actually be Viridian, and instead of going to Pewter you'd take Diglett's Cave to Vermilion. Pewter would be last. Old Man Brock ahoy.
But yeah with changed up routes and new pokemon availability and expanded cities and generally seeing what the world is like as it keeps going. Professor Oak would be Daisy Oak instead of Samuel. Cinnabar would be rebuilt. Lavender would be just FULL of ghosts, having taken revenge on the town for destroying their home and replacing it with a radio tower. Human sacrifice, Growlithes and Meowths living together, mass hysteria.
(I mean it won't happen thanks to the games needing to be tied with the show. Stupid lousy multi-form franchise empire.) --- King of the Zelda Wii U WT Board http://i.imgur.com/RK6EB.png
I think that was the intention of GSC, to give us an insight to Kanto in future years. However, I don't see a problem with this, as it could add something to Kanto to make me want to buy the game --- Official Lugia of the Pokemon BW2 Boards
I like the current route. Just add alot more stuff and merge the map with Johto. --- http://i.imgur.com/pVqey.png Arcvalons really is a genius.-kamikazetomato. If I remain a virgin until I reach 30 I become a wizard. - gamerTai.
It's been in four gens, but twice it was a remake (so exact same route), and twice it was a hollow post-game addition.
I wouldn't call the Kanto in HG/SS hollow.
Not as hollow as GSC=/=not hollow at all.
Either way it's a postgame feature, almost totally nonlinear and when you've already established your team. Hardly the same thing as what this topic proposes. --- King of the Zelda Wii U WT Board http://i.imgur.com/RK6EB.png
