Would you guys like it if pokemon had an ATB and your pokemon could move around own its own like in FinalFantsy
So you can actually see them dogde attacks or miss

And yes I know you would have to pay attention more

Seeing as this Generation will be in full 3D, the battles may in fact have moving Pokemon and actual dodging and missing, but no, ATB would be horrible in the Pokemon series.

Oh, and I was just wondering why you specified Final Fantasy X and XIII, when every Final Fantasy game that wasn't a spin-off had the ATB.

Final Fantasy X didn't have an ATB gauge. It had an entirely different battling system that I think is much better.

Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy II, and Final Fantasy III didn't have ATB gauges.

No, it was not. ATB, Active Time battle, refers to the battle systems which have a gauge that fills up over a small period of time in order to use commands. The first three games and X did not use this. X was turn-based, more like the first three were (albeit done in a different way than those games were).

I, II, and III were -definitely- ATB. The bar just wasn't visible in the original games. The remakes all had ATB bars.

They were the last games I played that had ATB
