Least creative Pokemon Designs

#111joker120Posted 2/5/2013 11:22:43 AM
I say gen 1 or 2( i voted gen 1). I say that simply because the designs didn't stray too far from the target animal or object. At the time we thought it was cool to see a turtle with cannons and a dragon. Gen three is wher they started to experiment with the designs of pokemon. Sceptile is a prime example. Using the leaves on its arms as blades was something new at the time and differnt that razor leaf. Golurk was a golum and a gundam. Gen 4 was a lot more experimental with types as well. Lucario and heatran both look like the steel type was added just cause. In the case of lucario, I believe the spikes were added to give him some metal on his body.

Generation 5's abundance of design based on objects instead of animals really turns me off.
I don't care how creative it is if it looks goddamn ugly.

lol I can see you steaming behind that keyboard. Sure, it isn't but a grown man playing a children's game the easy way and talking about it on hardcore message boards is really sad. And GFAQS Pokemon players are filled with ignorant nostalgia noobs so I couldn't care less.

People like you are no better than Ash who uses leaf storm on a grass/bug and thinks tenacity and bond is better than strategy so he uses Pikachu against Emolga even though Roggenrolla would’ve been better and whose main strategy is telling his Pokemon to get up.. Even worse because Ash is a kid and has tons of friends while traveling in a their world while you’re grown up in a basement playing in a virtual world.

You know how people call Ash a noob? Well, players who are too lazy to play a childrens game harder are even more. Even the game has NPCs telling you Pokemon battles are meant for strategy instead of brute force (which is what you only do ingame, spam one attack) and encouraging you to battle other humans.

You are a special snowflake.

They were all pretty creative, but 1 had the most basic designs.

Let me sort this out. If I like a Pokemon's design, I'm a noob, because GiftedACIII says so. If I don't play competitive (in my particular case, because I freaking don't want to, not because I wouldn't be able to if I so desired), it's because I am not capable of thinking, again, because GiftedACIII says so.

Why is this guy so full of himself that he thinks that his way of playig and thinking is the only way to go?

This, so much. Anyone can put in the time and effort to play competitively. However, I don't feel like it because that takes way too much time, what with having to deal with all the randomness that process entails. You may end up having to breed hundreds of eggs to get just 1 Pokemon that is competitive, let alone a full team. I don't mind some randomness, but that is just ridiculous.

TL;DR: Stop trying to act like just because you play competitively, you're better than everyone else GiftedACIII, because you're not.

Then play a simulator. Yeah, "it takes too much time" just shows that you're lazy and don't like to put effort into things. Seeing as you're on Gamefaqs shows that you have plenty of time.

@iKahnic, yeah except nobody else has the same opinion as you, stop forcing your opinion down other's throats.

Yeah, I do have plenty of time. However, instead of trying to get competitively relevant Pokemon, I'd much rather spend that time oh I don't know, maybe playing other games? I know it may be hard to wrap your head around the fact that not everyone plays Pokemon the same way you do, but you ought to at least try before making yourself seem like an a**.

Its not hard playing competitive and playing other games too. Its just laziness. Competitive isn't hard or tiring to anyone who had a 6th grade education. Also I know some people don't play competitively. Those people, if they're over the age of 10, aren't a beginner (played the series for years), and has the time to post on internet message boards are noobs and shameful.

5>1>3>2>4

2 and 4 has the most evos of previous gen Pokes. So they go at the back. 4 has even more of it. And their legends looks less creative than gen 2. So 4 is last.

5 1 and 3 has the most original Pokemon. 5 just look more crisp and beautiful.

Hey Mewtwo shouldn't you be coming into this topic and going nuts about how this guy said design?

And every time I think GiftedACIII can't spout more nonsense, he goes ahead and outdoes himself.

Seems like the kind of person who will throw a tantrum if things don't go his way in every aspect of his life, if something as trivial as the way other people play Pokemon irritates him so much. Personally, I don't give a damn about how other people play their games. And I don't know why some people can't just accept that not everyone is interested in the competitive battling without being reduced to petty derogatory terms.

Yeah I don't even why I'm bothering to convince you. You're simply a bad trainer, someone who sucks at the game, plain and simple. Its like trying to convince a Glee fan that their music was already done before, useless to convince someone whos stubbornly ignorant. Even the game itself calls people like you bad trainers.
