Most non-offensive moves ignore type immunity. I say most, but there are exceptions, such as Thunder Wave.
I didn't realize how odd that is that until you said that. I knew Ground types were immune to Thunder Wave and stuff like Hypnosis works against Dark types but didn't really realize how contradictory that was. :/
You are the universe Expressing itself as a human, for a little while
Considering 99% of Rock types are part ground in Gen 1.
Aerodactyil(sp) and Kabuto, Kabutops, Omaster, and Omantye are the only Rock types without being part Ground in Gen 1.
But all are Fossil Pokemon, which means not many in the Game.
Aero is part of Lance's team yes, but by this time you're convinced Rock is immune to Electric attacks do you end up not risking it.
And I don't think any of the other trainers have used the other fossils.
Not to mention the fossils were part water or flying, both of which electric was SE against. This annoyed me because I read the manual and it clearly said electric did normal damage against rock.
Of course, I had three friends who would always claim that rocks were immune to electric. I'd use the fossils as evidence, but nope, they are a type that takes double damage from electric. Then I'd point out why Zapdos is immune to earthquake. Different case, it don't count. By the time a pure rock type came out (Sudowoodo), Gen II changed the mechanics (which, to their credit did with poison and bug, but not electric and rock).
Not changing this sig until The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho happens on PPV (started October 4, 2009)
