Aha! A "spot pass" Pokemon which has a signature move that gets buffed out with each Spot Pass sent/receive transaction!

Unown for their letters, and to some extent Shuckle for RC
Spinda for the "multiple spot patterns" and Castform for form changes
Chatot for microphone feature
Klink line for perpetually moving animation

I would argue Ditto for Gen I.
For Gen V, Zorua line with its unique ability.

A dimensional Pokemon whose lair you can only see and enter if you have the 3D "volume" turned all the way up.
