Why can't the caterpie and the pidgey be friends? One eats leaves and the other eats caterpie. Oh I see it now.

I almost get the feeling that it will happen and will receive Iron Barbs as a hidden ability... You know, I actually don't want it to happen because of Ferrothorn, who already did everything a defensive Grass/Steel possibly could. A Grass/Steel Chespin evo would likely be outclassed, more painfully so if it has Iron Barbs as well.

Agreed, but Chespin is cool. I want to play ball with a Chespin.

Maybe a more offensively oriented Grass/Steel?

Plus, wouldn't it get Overgrow?

I didn't care for Chespin at first, but he's really growing on me. I still like Fennekin the best but I like him more than Froakie at least. Still, I'm not a fan of grass types and therefore, probably won't be using him.

I've used:
Gen 1- Charizard
Gen 2- Typhlosion (Gold)/Feraligatr (Silver)
Gen 3- Swampert
Gen 4- Torterra/Infernape
Gen 5- Serperior (Black, only time I've ditched a starter)/Emboar (Black 2)

So it's either Chespin or Froakie for me. It's really going to depend on their final forms.

I'm mostly holding out for Chespin so I can see if he'll fit on my (obviously non-competitive) team. I already have a Fire and Water.
