Personally, I don't get how there can be dual typed Pokemon when one type is Normal. You'd think that "Normal" would preclude dual typing by nature.

But, I think Normal should stick around as a type. It even makes perfect sense as a type in some instances, such as with Eevee.

That's what I think, because it doesn't make sense that Normal is weak to Fighting. If there is a meaning behind this, then please explain. If a hero (Fighting) takes on evil (Dark), that makes sense. But hero attacks Normal/civilian, then that's evil as well.

Fighting isn't a "hero" type. It's a martial arts type.

Yes, there are some people who falsely say that the Fighting type is called "Hero" in Japanese. It isn't. Mostly this remains popular because people try to use it to discredit the possibility of a "Light" type.
