Pokemon X

So the series is garbage because of the increase of collectible pokemon, can you imagine the series lasting this long with just the original 151? It would have died out due to repetition of the same creatures.

Okay they should have never made more then 151 pokemon because now we're all overwhelmed with all these stupid looking **** pokemons that look like deformed blue monkeys. Pokemon is going to become terribly unpopular in the next decade and I know why..

It's called the beanie-baby effect. Back in the 90s there were all these soccer moms going ape **** for beanie babies which was essentially pokemon for old people. Anyways, the company wanted to sell more products and make more money so they started mass producing more of these damn beanie babies which made it obvious that they were trying to squeeze every dime out of these collectors so everyone with half a brain abandoned the product.

Enter a la Pokemon:

By mass sizing this bull ****, it makes me stop caring to collect them all because there too damn many to collect now. I want to have a nice adventure with 151 and thats all, not no damn recolored monkey thats been run over by a train.

Good sir, you have changed my entire view of the Pokemon series. I used to love the recent games...but after your petulant tantrum, gosh darn it, I just can't see the appeal anymore. Thank you sir, for opening my eyes to the truth.

...haha, that was fun. I like to pretend. Okay, now for my ACTUAL response.

While the "beanie-baby effect" you mentioned is fascinating, it would've been more convincing a comparison if you didn't feel the need to curse like a 15 year old on Xbox Live. Not trying to be antagonistic, but if you wanted a mature discussion you should've taken it upon yourself to set a mature tone.

I personally feel that Pokemon, in a sense, has matured and expanded as the original player base of Red and Blue have gotten older. Hence the more in depth battle system and more complex, sophisticated designs. True, not all Pokemon are nuggets of gold. I find myself unable to take either Vanilluxe or Garbodor seriously. But you know what other Pokemon I don't like? Muk. Electrode. Dunsparce. Either Wurmple evolutionary lines. Garchomp (yes, I can't stand Garchomp). Every generation was a mixed bag, so to speak.

It's now about more than "catching them all." There are giant, dedicated official TOURNAMENTS for Pokemon battling. Could you even imagine such a thing when Red and Blue first came out? You can trade and battle with people across the globe with endless possibilities for a combination of critters on your team. Combat is simple but complex enough to get you hooked and wanting to master the ins-and-outs of your team.

And you know what, good sir? Just to spite you, I am going to make an honest effort to "cath 'em all" In Pokemon Y. Don't like it? Don't play.

Seriously though, have a nice day. And maybe have a snack. You sound cranky. :)
