We don't need such elaborate control schemes. This is not a racing game.

How is pressing B to stop quickly "elaborate"?

Perhaps not yet, but there's always the follow up question, "why stop there?". Then GF starts adding unnecessary functions.

Is not pressing the D pad too hard?

This is a sig. Yup.

No, but stopping at the right moment is.

Also, I clearly remember using brakes on cycling road.

Then again, every single bike I've ever owned in real life, have never really had lasting brakes(even road one with none, safe to say that I won't be doing that then).

I understand that you don't actively want it to be in, but if you wouldn't mind it being in, why are you actively opposed to it?

-_- Now you're contradicting yourself and assuming things for me. I'm just stating the cons of your idea but it doesn't mean I'm like RAAARR NOOOO BRAKE BUTTONZZZZAAAA!!

i think its more the register menus fault than the need for a brake option
Make the bottom screen our menue again like in HGSS and alow more register items.
That'd be much better.imo

Would be nice if they did that. Crashing into entrances happens to me a ton and I don't like getting off on my bike when it happens. Strange that there's such opposition to it though.

It won't change anything. Just stop moving if you want to brake.

Or you could do what Cheren suggests.

BUT THEN I WOULD HAVE TO LISTEN TO THAT GAWD AWFUL BIKE MUSIC AGAIN.
