Your Reaction: new generation pokemon game taking place on a distant planet

In that I mean, the setting not being on the poke-earth we know but a different inhabited planet in the pokemon universe. Inhabitants of said planet (aside from the alien pokemon) would still be humanoid but maybe have radically different colored skin or antennas or something (or they could just look completely human.. whatever). Taking it a step further, maybe you as the protagonist could be a human from poke-earth and is on a planetary expedition to find alien pokemon. The setting in itself could open up a slew of different story possibilities and new concepts for pokemon. There could be references made of Arceus and the space/time trio, Lunatone, Solrock, Deoxys, the Clafairy line and the Elgyem line to make connections to the other existing pokemon. Transferring pokemon after the main game is complete would not only grant you that pokemon but you would literally be able to populate this new planet with past gen pokemon [except legendaries] along with the pokemon native to this planet.

This topic came out of boredom but I'm highly curious to hear your reactions.

Additionally, as far as pokemon's designs are concerned, we wouldn't have to settle for reused animals for pokemon although many designs would most likely be inspired by familiar animal archetypes.
