A new type is introduced in Pokemon X/Y

I'm thinking Fairy. But I'm considering 'Fairy' and 'Light' to be the same thing in this case.

Wind, Pokemon is like the only RPG that doesn't have a Wind element in it.

In Pokemon, Flying is essentially Wind. Look at moves like Gust, Air Slash, and Hurricane.

Sound is already a sub-type, might as well make it a full type! LOTS of old Pokes would get a new type with it, too.

What the heck would light type even do?

No, plenty don't use it. I just got done playing Chrono Trigger, for example. Pretty sure I don't remember it being in Final Fantasy either, though I only played X.

I can give many examples of wind in final fantasy.

Example A: in the first final fantasy there was one of the main bosses who had wind. It was the dragon one, tiamat.
Example B: In ffiv one of the main bosses, barbariccia was of the wind element.
Example C: in ffiv there was a ninjitsu skill for edge called "gale"

I don't believe they'd make this big a change and not announce it beforehand, even if it's only hinted about (like this new bond system). I mean, if the trailer said something like "Expect changes in new and old Pokemon in this Gen", I could believe a new type coming, but as everyone knows, this was not the case.

So, I'm not voting, as I don't think they'll be adding a new type this Gen.

Stop being ridiculous. They didn't announce the physical/special split within the first month of Diamond/Pearl's reveal.

Many Final Fantasy games did, in fact, have a Wind element (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, arguably 4, Tactics, etc.) - but you're correct in noticing that FFX was not one of them.

Well, actually, that spell wasn't introduced until the DS version. The element only sorta-kinda existed in the original FF4; it was usually called the "Throw" element.

Look at my edited post and you'll see an even better example of wind in ffiv.

Plastic, Glass, Magic etc. are all stupid and bird/wind are redundant with flying existing.
