Pretty much, yea. Took me a while to realize the ones you wouldn't think about, like Ghost resisting Poison, but I can remember most type matchups.

Yes, I formerly had a Pokemon Gen VI sig.

I didn't know Steel was not very effective on Electric types until Gen 5. But that was because the strategy guide for Pokemon Crystal was wrong. I used to look at that constantly for the type matchups when I was younger.

Trying to punch a fly would be very hard and it wouldn't do as much damage because their bodies are different
