I'm pretty sure that was dropped because of Poison Heal.

It existed in Gen 4, and Poison Heal Shroomish/Breloom would still lose HP outside of battle if poisoned.


I find this stupid. Was this an oversight on their part?

And also, hating on the infinite TMs? IMO, it doesn't make the game any easier (especially since most of the good TMs are harder to get anyways), just more convenient.

Now what I really want to see is less hand-holding in the beginning segments of the game. Gen 1 and 2 didn't have nearly as much as 4 and 5 does. You know, fewer forced tutorials, speedier (and optional) tutorials when it came to showing how to capture Pokemon, things like that. I was able to get it when I was a kid, I certainly don't have anymore trouble now and I doubt kids today have trouble as well.

The challenge should not come from out of battle. Challenge should be inside the battle. The way to deal with this problem is to alwys make sure your team is underleveled.
