New pokemon games should have customizable avatar

I'm pretty sure we've already got some form of customization. The glasses/goggles that the male main character has on their hat throughout most of the trailer are not on his head when he's swinging on the vine rope. Where did they go?

It was a glitch. If you look closely, you can see the glasses floating in the space where the trainer previously was (sort of hard to see, but it's there).

Sorry for double post, but this still probably hints at customization because the glasses aren't a part of the model.

I hope it's true though

This is the one feature I've wanted most for a very long time. You see all kinds of awesome trainers in game who dress to fit their style/likes, gym leaders especially. Water specialists tend to dress in blues and whites with flowy clothing, fire specialists tend to have spiky hair with red and black clothes, Psychic specialists typically wear futuristic uniform-looking stuff, etc. etc.

I'd love the opportunity to give my trainer some personality this way. Pick what style of clothing he likes to wear, pick from a color pallete to choose what color it is and choose from a few faces and hair styles (also with color pallete option for the hair at least. Would love to be able to choose eye color too but that might be pushing it for now). It wouldn't require a huge amount of doing to make it happen and it'd make the games much more immersive and fun.

It would also give the opportunity for gamefreak to add another something for people to spend time on with unlockable/winnable accesories/clothing. For example: finding and collecting random accesories in various stores or as gifts from npcs (small stuff like sungalsses, caps, gloves or scarves), specialty accesories that you have to find in hidden places (rarer stuff like new shirts/pants/shoes), and prestige accesories you have to earn like acheivements (i.e. Defeat a certain boss of the enemy group as a hidden battle to earn said groups uniform, or some similar achievement to get previous groups uniforms like Team Rocket or Team Galaxy, or something cool like a Red outfit for winning a marathon style tournament). They could also release special promotional stuff as gifts at events like a pikachu t-shirt for attending a tournament, or an emolga hat.

I think there's plenty of possibility in this and it wouldn't require a lot of work from Gamefreak, plus it would give players something to sink several more hours into the game with to find all of the accesories or even just the ones that they want so they can make the perfect trainer for them. As someone said, it would make the social aspect of the game even more fun. Either way, I want it very much, and even if we don't get it this go around, I hope that we will next gen, or if I dare to dream, maybe even in Pokemon Z when it drops.

Of course, if/when we do get this then I'll have to move on to wanting customizable pokeballs. Catch a pokemon then take it to a ball boutique or something and choose what color, if you want a pattern or a special ornament, then a release effect and pay a certain fee for the modifications. Would definitely be nice to be able to put my starter in a specially colored pokeball with water effects when it's released. :D
