5. "The internal battery has run dry. The game can be played. However, clock-based events will not occur." This wouldn't have been nearly as bad, if it wasn't for the fact that there were a lot of pretty big clock-based events, such as growing berries, Shoal Cave, Mirage Island, sales, etc..

Why do you argue this when G/S did something similar?

Sure, G/S had the same problem, but at least it completely prevented you from playing, meaning that you would still lose out on the same things that you would miss out on in R/S, but it's not as big of a deal, since you can't even play the game in the first place. With R/S, you would still be able to play the game, but you would always be thinking about how you can no longer do [x].

With G/S, you're not missing out on much, since you can't even play the game. With R/S, you can play the game, but you know that you're going to miss out on things.

So... G/S is basically bricked while R/S is playable with less features and this is a bad thing.

So you're basically saying getting 0$ instead of the 100$ that was promised to you is better than getting 80$ of the 100$. Gen 2 is my favorite generation, but your logic is awful.

I agree with that but...

Gen IV>Gen I> Gen II> Gen V> Gen III

Gen V > Gen III > Gen IV > Gen I > Gen II

IMO, of course.

1. A lot of the Pokemon sucked

lol no

2. Terrible rival. Brendan/May

wasn't your rival

3. The latter half of the game was not Fire type friendly. Water types everywhere.

Then Kanto sucked as well, rock types everywhere.

4. Speaking of water, how about all that water? There's no arguing that there was a lot more surfing in Gen 3 than in other Gens, even without the optional areas.

That's just not true.

1. Read the Pokemon I mentioned, and then some.
2. Fought you multiple times, had their own theme, used Starter that beats yours. Totally not a rival.
3. Fair point, but said Rock types weren't nearly as widespread as the Water types in Hoenn.

The surfing was made even more monotonous with the limited variety of Pokemon you encounter on the water. Tentacool and Wingull, with the occasional Wailord or Pelipper. Trainers all used the same weak Water types, so a lot of Goldeen, Horsea, Staryu, etc.

Water huh?

Maybe it's just me, but the feeling that you can do something, but there are things that you can't do in said thing is worse than not being able to do something at all.

Red, Blue, Green, Yellow

Gen 4

Platinum, HGSS (Only Kanto is good)

Gen 5
