are you saying that Gen V improved on gameplay and mechanics from gen IV...if that is the case, then Gen IV is what Gen III should have been, Gen III is what Gen II should have been and Gen II is what Gen I should have been...and Gen I is nothing more than a beta
I mean, don't get me wrong, physical/special split and online were good enough additions, but seeing Gen 5 introduce stuff like re-usable TMs and the repel thing, those seemed like things they could have and should have added to Gen 4.
That and coupled with the fact both gens are on DS... I think you understand where I'm coming from.

by gen 5 do you mean B&W or B2&W2 or all of the above.
I really liked Gen 4. I rather disliked B&W Alot I really liked B2&W2
B&W seamed rushed and incomplete. I had to use all new pokemon (not one of my favotites)til post E4. It did not feel like pokemon to me.
Really? I actually thought that making a player use only new pokemon until post-E4 was reminiscent of Gen I; it gave off an "old" feel. But that could just be me
In white 2 I used Electibuzz, Lucario and Darmanatan(sorry if mispelled) Krookodile and Two other Unova pokemon. I had battled using Electibuzz since gen 1(14 years) not being able to use it was worse than gen 3 was. At least in Gen 3 was some of my old favorites. In W2&B2 I also got to battle some of my old favorites. I was happy with 2 non-unova pokemon on my team. My 2 Favorite games are W2 and Platinum.
