It's one minor detail that will probaly not ruin the overall game experience.

I'm sure there's at least one person out there who would be picky enough to discredit the entire game because of it, though.

That reminds me, quite a few Ground types learn Earthquake by level up anyway. Like Krookodile and post-BW2 Sandslash.
