How do pokemon without hands hold items?

Well, Berries could probably be held in the mouth, scarves can be worn....though then there's things such as EV items and the Macho Brace...Lenses can be worn, but Braces can't be worn by some Pokemon...some Pokemon doesn't have eyes or arms..

And Pokemon such as Magnemite doesn't seem to visibly eat...even electromagnetism could be explained to an extent, but surely not everything can be held like that...

EDIT: Guess it's safe to assume that they didn't think it though, but didn't want to instill a more complicated metagame by restricting what items a Pokemon can hold or what...
