Rhyperior lovers

Ever since Rhyperior appears in Gen 4, a lot of people hate Rhyperior because it's ugly...well, for me, I do not hate the pokemon. Let's share why we find Rhyperior's design amazing and why there are Rhyperior fans even though haters gonna hate.

For me, it's because it is based from a Triceratop, Ankylosaurus and a stereotypical miner. Also, prior to Gen V, Rock Wrecker being a sig move in its final evo form in the Rhyhorn's evo line.

Ever since I figured out the basis for Rhyperior's design, I've learned to like it. It resembles a miner with hearing protectors and a belt for tools. Also, those arm cannons are pretty awesome. At first, I just thought the designers put a bunch of random red plates on its body which took away the 'organic' look from its pre-evolutions.

Same here. I thought his design was overdrawn until I found out about the miner basis. Also, people who hate Rhyperior calls it 'an ugly looking Rhydon who eat too many rocks'

I like it.

I was looking for Pokemon to use, and I thought "Screw it, I'll try out Rhyperior."

I made the right choice.

I bet if it would have been introduced in gen 1 people would have liked it a lot more. When I first saw it (and magmortar and electabuzzs evo) I was kind of taken back, but all three are growing on me. I might try out magmortar soon :)

Pokemon shouldn't be based on 3 things at once.

Rhyperior takes an excellent and not too complicated design in Rhydon and completely ruins it.

when DPP was coming out rhyperior was promising. after all rhydon was a solid OU mon in ADV and it got even stronger and had that new ability. rhyperior was way too slow though and solid rock or w/e didn't protect it enough to offset its weaknesses. he did have 15 mins of fame when the SubSD set became popular for a while in DPP though. unfortunately barring some crazy new move or game mechanic rhyperior wll never sniff OU
