Friggin A Link to the Past had multiple saves, and that was more than 20 years ago.

I hate having to erase my old game if I start a new one.

Two different kind of games though, so that's not a really good comparison.

Personally I don't think Nintendo ever will, just for more profit.

I'd use a second save file for Nuzlocke challenges instead of using emulation for them. In other words, Nintendo would be helping in fighting piracy if they allowed us more than one save file.

WTF do you want multiple save files for? 'Cause the only reason I could think of would be to bypass the social aspects of the game.

I'm sure you're joking on that statement.

Pirates are going to pirate regardless.

They don't even need to let us trade between them really. Its just a convenience that should be in a game of this era.

I just saw an ad for the new Assassin's Creed; what are they thinking? It seems like Ubisoft's begging people to steal their game.

nobody's debating that.
but the more anti consumer practices a company practices the more wide spread the piracy.
This is why video games are far more pirated then movies, music or books.
