Whats the point in battling online?

This was my 3rd game online in White 2 and I was finally going to win a random matchup and the guy quit on me. Now in my head I was like "sweet I have my first win." Only to notice that the game that I spent a long deal of time playing only to have him get a get out of jail free card. Not only this but when I played my first game online in platinum (my only online game btw) was against a completely hacked team.

What is the point of playing online where the majority seems to just to want to ruin it...

It's fun.

Also, use a sim. You'll get ragequitted on every time you're about to win.
