Any old gen pokemon in new and future games.

Now this is probably going to be shot down but I think Nintendo could manage this.

What do you think to Nintendo making a downloadable pokemon storage system on the Wii/Wii U, by making it downloadable it makes it possible to carry over to future Nintendo consoles aswell as making plug ins so that you can get pokemon from as far back as red and blue and transferring them to the DS games.

They can put blocks in so that new pokemon can't be put into older games so Zekrom in Blue etc, by doing this it means that people can keep their favorite pokemon that they spent hours training up and also bring their very first pokemon with them stats and all.

What are your opinions on this?

Seems kind of unnecessary. We can already do this.
Other than back to the GB/GBC games, but those are incompatible with current games

Not only are the Pokemon of the first two gens irreconcilably different, stat-wise, than those of later gens, but this would require R&D researching a link method between games of two dead systems that will never ever be used ever again. That's the main reason the third gen was a reboot in the first place - and only one of the systems was dead then!

TC means get pokemon from the physical copies of rby and gsc to the newer games. And it has nothing to do with special split. That didn't keep them from allowing gen 1 to go to gen 2. It has to do with the EV and IV systems getting revamped. They'd have to find a workaround for that first. They could do it, if they wanted. Don't see it happening though.

There's this too, but that's what TC wants to fix, as was stated.

I guess, in theory they could just release RBY and GSC on the eShop and that would make the porting easier. But either way, it isn't likely.

Well, actually, it has more to do with it than you think, though it's not the only or even most significant factor. Even when the Special stat was split in the second gen, the DVs (basically IVs) and stat experience (basically EVs) for the two stats were not separate. Starting in the third gen? Completely separate.

It seems silly. It would need to essentially remake the pokemon, so it would be the imported pokemon in name and level only.

No, I don't think you understood what I said. I'm saying that supporting dead systems would be pointless, and the research they do would never be used again. Therefore, they won't do it.

If they released RBYGSC on the eShop, it would be most prudent to change RBYGSC to make them compatible with modern games. And anyway, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver exist.
