Well I wouldn't like to play like that, just wanted to know if it's possible. And I think it is kind of lame that it is.

So? It's a video game... stuff like that is always possible in video games.

You can beat Mario with out power-ups.
You can beat Zelda with out getting Heart Containers.
You can beat Final Fantasy VII with out using Materia.

Just because it can be done, doesn't mean it's a problem.

Well those are all things you can do to make the game more challenging. I was coming from the stand-point that only using 1 pokemon makes the game too easy.

How is it lame that you can brute force your way through a game through endless grinding?

It doesn't. It actually does make the game more challenging to use only one Pokemon. Unless you want to spend hours upon hours upon hours of tedious grinding. But you can do that with pretty much any RPG, so it's still not really much of a complaint.

Let's just pretend this says something witty.

Ah, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.

I was confused because I took the second poster's message of "If you'd prefer more of a challenge, then just switch your team members more often." as "if you prefer a challenge, then switch your members in and out of battle more often."

That's not what he meant, correct?

Sorry for my ignorance, like I said I haven't played since red/blue

thanks
