GameFAQS=why games should be played and people should be avoided.-selfdeztruction
Generation 5 has got really nice visuals, especially the scenic views. The towns are more vibrant and, the music is great. It has also introduced Volcarona, just pure awesome. The starters as unique as they are, weren't aesthetically appealing. The game is also very linear; there is little room to explore before the elite 4.
Generation 3, lol wut, pretty meh, forgettable pokémon but, the music was quite enjoyable. The strong emphasis on surfing was not pleasant.
1. Awesome gen, had the best pokes, cities, you name it.
2. Bumped up the previous gen another notch. Revisiting Kanto was just epic.
3. Meh. It did have Flannery though.
4. I liked Sinnoh and the mountains. Snowpoint was awesome.
5. Varied cities, landscape, and vibrant atmosphere.
Assuming we are talking about the main series video games (not remakes):
1: Everything. My childhood.
2: New Pokemon! 16 Badges! You get to go back to Kanto! Red!
3: The atmosphere of the games was phenomenal. New environments and Pokemon.
4: New evolutions, Wi-Fi, competitive battling, EVs...a new, more complex side of Pokemon.
5: Vastly improved graphics, interesting storyline, direct sequels for the first time.
6: 3D! We have dreamed of this for years. New Pokemon evolutions. The rest is TBD
